2024 Spring Burn
While it may look gloomy outside today, spring is here! With that, spring cleaning and yard clean-up usually follow, which includes open burning.
So, a reminder: the Utah Department of Air Quality has some open burning guidelines and regulations:
~ Obtain a Burn Permit.
~ Check the Airshed Index (Airshed 5, 500+)
~ Be attended by a responsible adult (18+)
~ No waste materials.
~ No accelerants.
~ Burn in small piles.
~ Fire must be out before dark.
~ Keep fire 50 feet from any structure.
~ Have a method of extinguishment readily available.
~ Notify Non-Emergency Dispatch at (801) 395-8221.
