Weber Fire District requires permits for vendors who sell Class C common
state-approved explosives and for professionals wanting to do a public pyrotechnic display.
It is important that you check with local legislative body for prohibited areas before discharging fireworks.
Please use extreme caution when using fireworks during the season. If high winds, precipitation, or other adverse weather conditions prevail fireworks discharge should be postponed or discontinued until weather conditions improve.

DATES OF SALE
Vendors may sell Class C common state-approved explosives as follows:
+ Beginning on June 24th and ending on July 25th.​
+ Beginning on December 29th and ending on December 31st.
+ And 2 days before and on Chinese New Year's Eve.

DATES FOR LEGAL DISCHARGE
Discharge time for fireworks discharge (updated):
+ 2 days before, the day of, and 1 day after July 4th and 24th
(Changed from a 14-day window to an 8-day window for discharge.)

TIMES FOR LEGAL DISCHARGE
A person may discharge Class C common state-approved explosives in the state as follows:
+ Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. beginning on July 2nd and ending on July 5th.
+ Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. beginning on July 22nd and ending on July 25th.
+ Note: July 4th and 24th discharge time is extended to 12:00 midnight.
+ Beginning at 11 a.m. on December 31st and ending at 1 a.m. on January 1st.
+ Beginning at 11 a.m. on Chinese New Year's Eve and ending at 1 a.m. the following day.

A person who discharges a class C common state-approved explosive outside the legal discharge dates and times and in prohibited areas can be punished by a fine.
