Unified Leadership - Shared Standards - Stronger Response

Weber County F.I.R.E. Council (Fire Interagency Rescue Executive Council) established April 2026 to strengthen coordination and collaboration among fire service agencies throughout Weber County.

The Council serves as a unified forum where participating agencies and Weber County leadership work together to coordinate paramedic services, technical rescue operations, hazardous materials response, and other countywide public safety programs. Through this collaboration, the Council supports consistent operational standards, transparent budgeting recommendations, and coordinated planning to enhance emergency response capabilities across the region.

By bringing agencies together under a shared vision, the Weber County F.I.R.E. Council helps ensure that firefighters and emergency responders across Weber County operate with aligned practices, effective resource management, and a commitment to providing the highest level of service to the communities we protect.

Participating Agencies

 

The Weber County F.I.R.E. Council brings together fire service leadership from across Weber County to coordinate regional emergency response capabilities and shared programs.

Participating agencies include:

• Weber Fire District
• North View Fire District
• Plain City Fire Department
• Ogden City Fire Department
• Roy City Fire Department
• Riverdale City Fire Department
• Washington Terrace Fire Department
• South Ogden Fire Department

 

Through this partnership, agencies collaborate to strengthen paramedic services, technical rescue capabilities, hazardous materials response, and other system-wide public safety programs, ensuring consistent standards and coordinated emergency response throughout Weber County.

Why This F.I.R.E. Council Exists

The Weber County F.I.R.E. Council was established to strengthen coordination and collaboration among fire service agencies throughout Weber County. The Council works to improve regional emergency response by:

 

• Coordinating paramedic, hazardous materials (HazMat), and technical rescue programs across Weber County.

• Providing a structured forum for Fire Chiefs and agency leaders to collaborate on regional system issues.

• Recommending program budgets and resource priorities to support countywide emergency services.

• Improving operational consistency and readiness across participating departments.

• Strengthening communication and cooperation between fire agencies serving Weber County communities.

 

Through this collaboration, agencies work together to ensure the highest level of preparedness, efficiency, and service for the residents and visitors of Weber County.

F.I.R.E. Council Responsibilities

The Weber County F.I.R.E. Council works collaboratively to support system-wide emergency service programs and ensure agencies are equipped, trained, and prepared to respond effectively.

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Recommending system standards for paramedic, hazardous materials (HazMat), and technical rescue programs.
• Developing and recommending operational protocols and procedures to support coordinated response.
• Preparing annual program budget recommendations for participating agencies and county partners.
• Reviewing program readiness, training, and operational performance.
• Recommending equipment specifications and replacement planning to maintain reliable response capabilities.
• Establishing reporting metrics and performance data to evaluate and improve system effectiveness.

 

Through these efforts, the Council helps ensure that emergency response programs across Weber County operate with consistent standards, strong accountability, and coordinated preparedness.
