🧾 NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
The Weber Fire District is proposing to increase its property tax revenue to support ongoing fire and emergency services across our growing District.
If approved, the proposed adjustment would result in:
An increase on a $676,000 residence from $402.66 to $497.61 per year — an annual difference of $94.95.
An increase on a $676,000 business from $732.11 to $904.74 per year — an annual difference of $172.63.
With this proposal, Weber Fire District would receive an additional $2,956,000 in property tax revenue per year — a 23.58% increase over last year’s budgeted property tax revenue, excluding new growth.
This funding is essential to maintain adequate staffing, update equipment and apparatus, and continue providing efficient and reliable emergency response services to our residents and businesses.
The purpose of the increase is for:
Addition of One New Fire Station in West Haven
Replacement of Station 63 to a New Location/Station in Hooper
Addition of a Training Tower and Training Facility with supporting offices in Farr West.
Apparatus and Equipment necessary to equip the new fire station and new training facility. Equipment at the current Station 63 will be moved to the new location where appropriate.
