We’re Hiring: Seasonal Wildland Firefighter
Weber Fire District is a career, all-risk department seeking hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our Wildland Division. This seasonal position supports the District’s mission to Care, Prepare, and Respond through wildland mitigation, preparedness, and national deployment operations.
Successful candidates will assist with fuel-reduction and mitigation projects and serve as crew members on our national wildland fire resources, with opportunities for year-round assignments based on operational needs.
Position Details
Seasonal position
Up to 1,500 hours per year (maximum)
Hours based on operational needs and availability
Additional hours possible during peak fire season and deployments
Pay: $21.22 per hour
Who We’re Looking For
Motivated individuals who are ready to work in demanding outdoor environments and contribute to team success, with:
U.S. Citizenship
Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma or GED
Red Card eligibility
Ability to pass:
Pack Test
Criminal background check
Driving record check
