Fall 2025 Open Burn Season

Leaves are falling, yards are calling. If you’re planning to burn this season, please follow Utah Department of Air Quality rules:

Before you burn

• Obtain a burn permit.

• Check the Airshed Index each day you plan to burn. You may burn only when the index is 500+ (Airshed 5=Lower Valley/Airshed 6=Upper Ogden Valley)—even if you already have a permit.

While burning

• An adult (18+) must attend the fire at all times.

• Keep a reliable method of extinguishment nearby.

• Stay 50+ feet from any structure.

• Burn small piles only.

• No waste materials.

• No accelerants.

• The fire must be completely out before dark.

Call Weber Fire District at 801-782-3580 Monday - Thursday 7:30 A.M. to 6 P.M. or

email WFDBurnPermits@weberfiredistrict.gov each day you burn.
